Choosing the right finish for your vehicle wrap is just as important as choosing the design itself.

Two of the most popular options are matte and gloss — but they create completely different looks.

Gloss wraps are shiny, reflective, and similar to a high-quality paint finish. They are perfect for businesses that want a sleek, premium, and professional appearance. Gloss finishes also tend to show colours more vividly, making them ideal for bold branding.

Matte wraps, on the other hand, have a smooth, non-reflective finish that looks modern, subtle, and sophisticated. Matte black, in particular, has become incredibly popular for luxury cars and high-end branding.

One key difference is maintenance. Gloss wraps are generally easier to clean and hide light dirt better. Matte wraps require more careful washing, as streaks or polish can ruin the flat effect.

If you want your vehicle to look like a polished showroom car, go for gloss. If you want a bold, edgy, or minimalist aesthetic, matte might be your best choice.

Not sure which to pick? A professional wrap installer can show you samples and help you decide based on your brand, vehicle, and personal style.
